Hello Cookers,
Is anyone using the ADS Pyro 1394 (firewire) webcam with Cooker or other
recent Mandrake releases?
If so, would you let me know or post your configuration and what
works/doesn't work for you.
I have the system recognizing the 1394 device when it is plugged in, but
haven't been able to see video
or capture frames with it yet...
I've added video1394 and raw1394 modules to the /etc/modules file, and
"# lsmod |grep 1394" returns:
raw1394 17144 0
video1394 13824 0 (unused)
ohci1394 19048 0 [video1394]
ieee1394 45900 0 [raw1394 video1394 ohci1394]
When I plug the camera into the firewire card, the following lines get
logged by dmesg:
ieee1394: SelfID completion called outside of bus reset!
ieee1394: Device added: Node[01:1023] GUID[0050c5000010661f]
[Unknown]
I also got the program "coriander" (coriander-0.99.1.tar.gz from
http://www.tele.ucl.ac.be/PEOPLE/DOUXCHAMPS/ieee1394/coriander/ ), and
it clean-compiles, but it segfaults immediately with a "gnome popup error".
Thanks much for any ideas,
Alvin Austin ( aamc AT crlogic DOT com )
