This is an obvious filename conflict. I tend to think the package named wipe should own the command called wipe. Can someone *PLEASE* rename lam-runtime's wipe command so I don't have to conflict with it? wipe.lam or something like that would probably make sense anyway. P.S. maints.cgi on qa is down (the reason I'm CC'ing warly).
