I've already had thus problem twice on two very different machines.
When it comes to X Configuration during install. It seems to detecet my card
but then it doesn't work. It'll tell me I have a TNT2 and when it goes to test
it it says "an Error has occoured" I check on the consoles and it says
something about "TRANSILVANIAN UNIX SOCKET CAN'tCONNECT ERROR 111" or close to
that. Also when trying to install on a Toshib Laptop with a NeoMagic 256 card
in it it does the same thing. It just says "An error has occoured" and wants me
to try to change configuration. I do but nothing makes it work. What's weird
is if I skip it then I can run Xconfigurator and install it. OH... BTW, I
can't run XF86Setup, it segfaults. I couldn't run Xconfigurator until I ran
ldconfig -v. For some reason the XAW library wasn't being loaded. Could this be
a reason??? I haven't had problems installing this computers before under older
distributions.
