------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-18-07 17:06 ------- Yes, I use alsa. Xmms with the alsa output plugin works fine. Also using madplay to write to a wavfile works, and when playing that wavfile everything is ok. I'm not using the latest kernel though, but I'd think that it shouldn't matter. $ cat /proc/asound/version Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 0.9.2. Compiled on May 1 2003 for kernel 2.4.21-0.2mdksmp (SMP) with versioned symbols. I'm using the CS46xx driver. Current alsa library: libalsa2-0.9.5-1mdk -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Trying to play an mp3 audio file with madplay gives no sound, even though it lists the headers of the mp3. The processlist in ps lists the command correctly (not in D state or so). Playing the same mp3 with mpg123 works fine, just like mpg321.
