drakfont does not set the permissions on the fonts it installs to world readable when
installing fonts from windows making the font names appear in font lists but not
display. My setup had windows xp on a different partition mounted under /mnt/windows
and drakfont found the fonts and installed them correctly but left the permissions at
400.
This caused all the characters of those fonts to display as squares instead of the
actual characters. Changing the permissions of the .ttf files to 444 made everything
ok.
