Here's the first working version of "mutray" - a KDE application that sits in the taskbar, checking for updates at given intervals.I rebuilt the src.rpm for 9.1; looks nice ;)
Features:
- Chooses a random mirror for the user (can be configured later)
- Will try 3 other mirrors if one is down
- The tray icon flashes, and a little notification is displayed when there are new packages
- The checking interval is configurable
- Option to launch MandrakeUpdate when new packages are found
Todo: - Add more items to the tray icon popup menu - Documentation - ??

After adding 'Bugfixes' and 'Normal updates' to the notification configuration, OK, closing the program, and re-starting, 'Bugfixes' is no longer selected.
There are times when one does not want to install certain updates. In this case, it appears mutray will activate and notify at each notification period, even though the available packages have not changed. Can there be a configuration to not notify if certain updates are chosen not to be installed?
A menu entry would be nice. Thanks.
