Since qa.mandrakesoft.com seems to be down, I'm posting directly to Cooker ML....
When rebuilding the 2.4.21-6mdk kernel I get this: --- cut --- gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/Data/RPM/BUILD/kernel-2.4/linux-2.4.21/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=i586 -DMODULE -DMODVERSIONS -include /Data/RPM/BUILD/kernel-2.4/linux-2.4.21/include/linux/modversions.h -nostdinc -iwithprefix include -DKBUILD_BASENAME=emufx -c emufx.c -o emufx.o emufx.c: In function `_snd_emu10k1_init_efx': emufx.c:2108: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. See <URL:https://qa.mandrakesoft.com/> for instructions. --- cut --- the compiler is: gcc-3.3.1 (GCC) 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-0.7mdk) and the system is a fully updated cooker as of today 14:00 UTC I'm building with the command: LC_ALL=C rpm -ba kernel-2.4.spec So... Any Ideas ?? and since the 0.6mdk gcc had no problem compiling the 5mdk kernel, I would say it's the gcc update that wasn't good :-( Anyone have a "spare" 0.6mdk gcc rpm set ?? Thomas
