------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-28-07 17:57 ------- Does this mean, that there will be no way for the user to format a floppy unless he becomes root and unmounts the floppy first ? That's pretty bad, since most people do not know that and MDK ships with supermount enabled by default. I think, that this bug should be moved to supermount, or a wrapper for mtools created, which will work the problem around by unmounting the floppy, formatting it and remounting with supermount back. BTW: formating a floppy while mounted with supermount is probably not a good idea. There is nothing to indicate to the user what the problem is when he tries to format a floppy and it gives a weird error message. Suggestion: start the floppy formatter with a script that umounts the floppy (needs suid=root??) first and remounts afterwards.
