Does this mean, that there will be no way for the user to format a floppy unless
he becomes root and unmounts the floppy first ? That's pretty bad, since most
people do not know that and MDK ships with supermount enabled by default. 

I think, that this bug should be moved to supermount, or a wrapper for mtools
created, which will work the problem around by unmounting the floppy, formatting
it and remounting with supermount back.

BTW: formating a floppy while mounted with supermount is probably not a good idea.

The GNOME floppy formatter only works when /mnt/floppy is manually umounted
first. There is nothing to indicate to the user what the problem is when he
tries to format a floppy and it gives a weird error message.

Suggestion: start the floppy formatter with a script that umounts the floppy
(needs suid=root??) first and remounts afterwards.
