description:
I just made a clean installation (I formatted all previous partitions) of
Mandrake Linux 9.2 B1, and the GIMP image manipulation program does not start. I
have tried to start it both from the console and from KDE -menu
(multimedia/graphics/gimp).

When I tried to start GIMP from KDE -menu, I just saw the tab of the GIMP in the
task bar for a while and then it disappeared.

When I tried to start GIMP from console the User installation dialog appeared
and when I hit the continue button, the dialog just died and I get following
error to the console:

"Floating point exception"

I have following hardware and configuration:
- AMD Athlon XP 2000+ CPU
- Asus A7V333 Motherboard
- Ati Rage 128 Ultra 32 MB Display Driver card
- Maxtor DiamondMax+9 80GB IDE hard drive

I have formatted all my partitions to use XFS -file system. And when I have
selected all SW from main selection menu during the installation (not individual
packages)
