------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-31-07 01:03 ------- Tested this problem using MD 9.2 Beta 1. Same response. Also occurs with KDM. Greeter flicks ups on screen and goes away. The root window background is then displayed. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: I have a working MD 9.0 system configured to allow XDMCP login from Xterminals. I use Tektronix/NCD X terminals with NC Bridge server software which works with all of our Unix based systems ie: SGI Irix, HP/UX, SUN Solaris, Compaq OpenVMS, and MIPS RiscOS. We also use Reflection X on Windows based PS's. I updated the MD 9.0 to MD 9.1 RC-1. This changed the KDM greeter to the new style of 9.1. This worked OK with the X-Terminals except the "MENU" button with the "DISCONNECT" function is missing. The "disconnect" is really need to allow a user to break back to the local XDMCP chooser. Anyway MD 9.1 RC-1 worked with the X-Terminals despite this inconvience. Today I updated the MD 9.1 RC-1 to RC-2. This broke something in the MDKDM greeter. When I select (from the X-Terminal) the MD 9.1 RC-2 system, the KDE root window is displayed and then the greeter window flashes up and goes away. The local XDMCP chooser returns as when a disconnect has occured. I tried this also with refelection X and the same problem occurs. The greeter works fine on the local screen in the PC which is loaded with MD 9.1 RC-2 but not remotely to X-Terminals.
