[Cooker] keyboard rebeat functionality stopped working

Doew anybody else have problems with the keyboard rebeat key 
functionality? Even If I try to keep any of the keys in my keyboard down 
 for a long time, only the first keyboard press will take effect.

I opened gnome keyboard settings application and noticed that the
"key press rebeat when key is hold down" was unchecked. However, the 
checking of it will not make things to work better. If this 
functionality is checked and I try to type text
	'Hello'
I will instead get
	'HHeelllloo'

I am running the current cooker with 2.4.21-6mdk kernel. (Just updated 
about one hour ago)
