I found scannerdrake organisation a little bit ...strange. I'd expect to
see something like printerdrake but scannerdrake i different, and maybe
too different.

1/ Adding a scanner.
I think that this part should be design as for printerdrake, i.e :
        - add local scanner
        - add remote scanner

why ? i found strange to go to "scanner share" in order to add a remote
scanner. several times I had to force me to remind me to go there to add
a remote scanner

2/ // port scanner :
some // scanner need scsi emulation on // port ( for example Microtek
Phantom 330CX ), so you need to load ppscsi & onscsi . At this time,
scanner is unable to do it leaving to undetect scanner.
SO maybe for the local scanner part there should have a suyb categorie
like this :
        - scsi scanner
        - usb scanner
        - // scanner

and when user select "// scanner", scannerdrake should try to detect it,
and if it failed, as the user if it can try with scsi emulation on //
port "Do you want scannerdrake try to detect your // port scanner by
using scsi emulation on // port ? Some scanner need this to function
properly. Y/n", and after scannerdrake load the corrects modules and
retry to detect the scanner.
