actually just found this ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/alsa/2.4-patches/ and i'll try to merge it in 2.4. you might want to make a forward port of ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/alsa/2.4-patches/alsa-zx-proc-devs.dif.gz adding device files on procfs, which was removed from the recent ALSA release svetljo
