If you run xscorch in a console and look around the menus a bit, it will report an error trying to give context sensitive help within the game window, and if you look at the console you'll see a string of these:
bzip2: Can't open input file /usr/man/man6/xscorch.6.bz2: No such file or directory. bzip2: Can't open input file /usr/man/man6/xscorch.6.bz2: No such file or directory. bzip2: Can't open input file /usr/man/man6/xscorch.6.bz2: No such file or directory. This isn't surprising, since MDK manpages are kept in /usr/share/man :). I guess xscorch needs patching to look for the manpages there instead? -- adamw
