I replaced the HD with an older one, removed the S3 Trio 368 AGP Graphics card
and replace it with a GeForce 2 MX-400.
Now boots okay.

The Installation went fine.
Upon reboot, Mandrake 9.2 beta 2 hangs at "Configuring kernel parameters"
I tried booting from LILO, using linux, linuxfb and failsafe. All do the same thing.
