Hi
Sorry for the other mail, but forgot that the 'Cooker mirror' no longer
deletes files.
I am using grub so my data does not compare well to Lilo but I tried the usual
grub setting and got a complete hang so I read the rpm in mc and got:
...
cd /boot
if [ -f initrd-2.4.22-0.1mdk.img ];then
                rm -f initrd-2.4.22-0.1mdk.img
fi
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 619150 Aug 8 15:03
/boot/System.map-2.4.22-0.1mdk
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 50341 Aug 8 15:03
/boot/config-2.4.22-0.1mdk
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1334242 Aug 8 15:03
/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.22-0.1mdk
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 Aug 8 15:17
/lib/modules/2.4.22-0.1mdk
...
So I concluded that it was good without one, and everything is nice, here is
my grub:
...
title Cook test
kernel (hd1,6)/boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hdb7 devfs=mount hdc=ide-scsi acpi=off
..
regards
guran
