description:
When I login using Gnome as for my desktop, and picture of a man under an
umbrella is displayed as the icons build in. It should go away after
initialization, but stays in the middle of the screen for 2-3 minutes, then goes
away. It hides all windows and such underneath it, so it makes most things
useless until it disappears.
Additionally, if I try to logout while this picture is displayed, the actual
logout is delayed until the graphic disappears also. I can start other
applications, such as a terminal window, after selecting logout. Once the
picture disappears, the the previously queued logout process starts.
