Hello,
the message logging of the mail system from syslogd
is redundant.
Cooker has /var/log/mail/mail.[info|warn|err] for
mail related logging. But all messages can
also be found under /var/log/mail.log .
Why?
Is the remove of the line
mail.* -/var/log/mail.log
in /etc/syslog.conf save, or does the asterisk
stands for more than [info|warn|err] ?
Packages in use: sysklogd-1.3.31-13mdk, postfix-19991231-6mdk
Thanks
~Andreas
