unluckily i have no floppydrive, and even worse i've come
around the problem by repartitioning my hard-drive
(couldnt stay too long without an update..)
the error didn't occured with another reiser-fs at hdb2,
so i think something was wrong with the partition,
though neither diskdrake nor partition magic nor
fdisk and also not the reiser-fs-check complained
in any way.
so, as long the bug doesn't reoccur for someone else,
we can safely assume it was on my side.
(so

thanks though,

description:
i have mdk 9.1 on a reiser-fs-partition. it runs without any
problems. but trying to install 9.2 beta 2 on it, though
the installation routine sees the root-partition (it asks
me whether i want to update it) it stops with the error
"Oops, no root partition". pressing enter repeats the error.

my harddrive:

Disk /dev/hdb: 120.0 GB, 120060444672 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 14596 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hdb1 * 1 510 4096543+ b Win95 FAT32
/dev/hdb2 511 4177 29455146 c Win95 FAT32 (LBA)
/dev/hdb3 4178 13928 78324876 83 Linux
/dev/hdb4 14496 14596 811282+ 82 Linux swap

(no /dev/hda on my system)

"/" is installed at /dev/hdb3, it's reiser-formatted.
is that some kind of bug or is there something with my system?
