Buchan already responded with the relevant strace/ldd info (i.e., that's what I'm seeing too). As I said in my previous message (and which I'll repeat in case it didn't come through for some reason), glibc is the culprit. 2.3.2-5mdk works. 2.3.2-10mdk breaks.
