I begin to suspect that many user problems are related to the fact that 
modul-inti-tools' modprobe returns error if you try to load already-loaded 
module unless called with -q.

it is quite unlikely that all places can be identifed and fixed (e.g. CUPS 
initscript is one of them) so what-do-you-think about making modprobe to 
_not_ fail by default, possibly adding extra option like --fail-exisiting 
(anyone actually needs it? After all we are only interested in the fact that 
module is in kernel).
