------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-12-08 09:58 ------- You are right Frederic, my report is not understandable at all. I will try to explain it more carefully. When using GDM as a desktop manager, logging and starting a desktop session (GNOME or KDE, it does not matter), several programs such as xsetroot, xdpyinfo, greps, etc. start for a while until GDM completely crash and you are back to GDM login. You cannot start your preferred desktop usign GDM. I had the impression that these programs where related to the firsttime steps in a desktop session (I do not known indeed). When using MDKKDM as DM, I have a correct behaviour. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: When using GDM, at start, it seems as if rerunning firsttime steps, despite that it were not your first time using a desktop session. Finally, it hangs up. With MDKKDM -> no problem.
