Hmm, this is bad. It seems current cooker kernel alsa and/or libalsa2 are screwed up.
1. Mixer settings are zero at each resart of alsa. 2. MIDI doesn't seem to work at all (both USB and PCI). 3. My quattro freezes the system.
The only thing that does seem to work is PCI audio (both in and out) and OSS emulation.
I will try other kernels (Danny's, Thomas'), and try building from source, but this has to be fixed ASAP! (unless it's just my system)
