------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-24-08 02:54 ------- > Try: > # mount -a Doh! > Actually, autofs is a better solution for this in the end ... but I guess > small networks are too small for autofs. Actually, I might not want to re-mount everything. I find autofs a bit over the top (unless it is pre-configured in such a way that makes configuration really easy). The last time I looked a autofs, I ended up spending a few hours on reading the documentation and configuration etc. Maybe it is easier now. In the situation where there is an unplanned re-boot or a power failure (without a UPS), one would expect the system to come up and mount everything. A fix can't be that hard ;-) -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: The "netfs" init script runs before ifplugd called by the "network" initscript has brought up eth0. This causes NFS mounts to fail at startup time. They can be mounted manually after booting. ifplugd is correctly called with -w but this only makes it wait for a link beat. After detecting the link, it takes about 3 seconds for the interface to come up, and this is done asynchronuously, so the netfs script has already finished by that time.
