description:
Unable to type double press characters with
"caron" diacritic mark on czech keyboard layouts.
The term "caron" is taken from postscript names for extended characters.
Tested both QWERTY or QWERTZ czech keyboard layouts.
Example:
1/ Selecting cz keyboard layout:
KDE Control Center->Accessibility->Keyboard->Layout(tab)
Check "Czech" or "Czech QWERTY"
Check "Enable keyboard layout"
2/ On taskbar switch to Czech keyboard
3/ Open new file in KWrite or Kate with CE encoding (codepage ISO8859-2)
selected
on english keyboard press:
keys Shift= then press C - should type 0xC8 - Ccaron - "?"
currently types 0x43 - ordinary C without diacritic mark.
Shift= then key R - should type x'D8' - Rcaron - "?"
currently types 0x52 R only
Shift= then D should type 0xCF - Dcaron
currently types 0x44 D only
and so on...
This can be applied on both lower characters ertsdzcn or upper ERTSDZCN.
The same problem exists in MDK9.1.
