Description : Strange behaviour running morph3D

Method:
Start X (any window manager)
Start morph3D
Sit and watch morph3D.

Result:
3 variations :
1) After 5 seconds the displayed 3D object will slow to about 1/3 of its
original speed.
2) After 5 seconds the displayed 3D object will slow to about 1/3 of its
original speed. It will then regain all its speed for 1 second, after
which it will slow to about 1/3 of its original speed.
3) morph3D will start at 1/3 of its previously recorded animation speed.

Method:
Move the mouse about.

Result:
The animation regains all its speed.

Other Comments:
I while back someone sugested starting X at 16bpp rather than 24bpp. I did
this and the problem did not occur. More strange that this, I went back to
24bpp and the problem no longer occured. This time, however, this technique
does not work.
