------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-28-08 19:19 -------
RH patched it and use a lockdev package, we are in package freeze and minicom
isn't that spread for non experienced users.
So I think typical minicom user are able to handle it, via rights management and so.
We maybe see it for next release if it's important.

description:
When a non-privilleged user tries to run minicom, it fails with a permissions
error trying to create a lock file in /var/lock. This is because minicom runs
without any elevated privilleges, and non-privilleged users don't have
permissions to create files in /var/lock.
