------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-29-08 14:45 -------
Profiles were dead for sometime, but should be back in a few drakxtools releases.
Then for now we don't think about doing this, could be an idea for futur mdk
release.

I would like to request the following, unless I am missing something and this
functionality is already available some other way:

When inserting a PCMCIA network card, or attaching a USB network adapter,
it would be very helpful if the network configuration tool could be called
from a script to select a network profile automatically.

For instance:
I have an ethernet PCMCIA card, and a WLAN PCMCIA card. Both need a different
configuration. I set up two network profiles, one for each. When I plug in
a card, the pcmcia card services and the hotplug manager could select the
correct network profile automatically, before, in both cases, eth0 is brought
up.
