(Note that this package actually applies to package kdebase-kdm, but it was not
available in the package list!)
When logging ot from a X session, XFree86 usually freezes before the login
screen is displayed. The screen becomes garbled and switching to VT's is
impossible. The problem also appears when trying to restart or shut down the
computer.
If I change to a VT without logging out and do "sudo /etc/init.d/dm restart", I
can re-login or restart via kdm normally. If I start X using startx, I can log
out normally. Furthermore, gdm (set to restart XFree86 between sessions) works
flawlessly.
