I am afraid, I am running LM9.2rc1 and the bug is very much present as shown:

I continued with my old .kde from LM9.2beta2 and the permissions have remained
exactly the same (775).
The permissions 700 for the previous poster are likely because of the creation
of the new ~/.kde (the only reason I can think of).
In any case, when KDE starts, a simple command like
chmod 700 $KDEHOME
in /usr/bin/startkde should fix the problem. I wonder why the problem is still
there given the simple fix.

Why does ~/.kde have default permissions of 775 ? Its a personal settings directory
and must
have permissions of 700.
In contrast, ~/.kderc has the correct permissions (644).
