I have upgraded from Mandrake 9.1 (french). My display manger was KDM. After
the upgrade, KDM shows on startup and I can log in. If I go to K Menu/Quit and
I choose to close the session, Kdm and X crashes and I fall back to a text mode
login.
I tried to switch to Mdkkdm in the control panel, rebooted the computer but it
produces the same results, crashes on logout.
Here's what I found in /var/log/messages about dm:
