There's been a lot of traffic on the list lately about mirror problems.
My partner and I are FINALLY (after some 4 1/2 months of waiting) having
commercial cable installed this week or next week. Included in this bundle
is 6 fixed IP addresses. We pay a fixed amount per month for up to a fixed
amount of bandwidth.
What I'm considering doing, if there is interest, is bumping our bandwidth up
by one price notch and hanging a private mirror for cooker on one of the
fixed IP's. There would be no charge using the mirror, but because we can't
afford a big pipe and would want to keep the speed reasonable, etc, would
limit the number of users.
Is this something that anyone is interested in?
