I booked this under drakboot because that seemed to be closest to this problem.
After seemingly flawless installation , trying to boot:
Last OK message =
/dev/hdb9 : clean,112256/641280 files,402244/1281175 blocks (OK)

Tried update installation and new installation with same result.
I installed RC1 over an unused Debian partition.
