------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-30-08 17:12 ------- there is a packaging problem, because the ati.2 rpm make a backup of the old driver before installing, so if you install xfree, it will overwrite the driver of ati.2 rpm. the solution is to remove ati.2 and to reinstall it, to replace the xfree driver by the one of gatos project. the real solution is to inclued the ati.2 driver in the xfree project. xv works for me on a fx702 laptop, with the same chipset. rpm -V XFree86-server should say that /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ati_drv.o has a wrong checksum, since it is the file from ati.2 if it don't, you are using the basic drivers. reinstall ati.2 to correct this. and if it work, close the bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: On Mandrake 9.0, I was able to use xine and Mplayer with xv video output. When doing the same in 9.1, i get for instance from xine: video_out_xv: Xv extension is present but I couldn't find a usable yuv12 port. Looks like your graphics hardware driver doesn't support Xv?! load_plugins: failed to load video output plugin <xv> main: video driver <xv> failed what's wrong? The correct graphic chip is configured (Ati Rage Mobility).
