strange. recently i installed fresh 9.2 beta2 version of mandrake linux and
mozilla-firebird shows fonts correctly, not ugly like in your screenshot. we
need more infos..

it also doesn't make a difference if I use the Mandrake-version that comes with
the install, or if I install mozilla or firebird tar.gz - binary versions
