Marking invalid :

you are mixing several bugs report in one single bug, on the wrong product..

If there are bugs in Ark, fill bug against Ark.
tar.gz association in file-roller is correct and working
ACE is not supported by file-roller (don't know for ark).

description:
Compressed file types have missing associations. For example, RAR files are only
associated with File Roller and there is no association for Ark. It is just the
opposite with tar.gz. ACE archives are not associated with any application.

I think it is important to set file type associations for archives as completely
as possible as people can get a lot of different archive formats on the internet.

Oh and if it is possible, it would be great if in KDE the default apps are KDE
ones and in GNOME the GNOME ones.
