It is happening to me recently that I sometimes get some strange corrupted/metalic sounds when applications notify something to user. For example new mail notification in Mozilla or new IM message in Kopete. I'm using Kernel 2.4.22-2 with ALSA 0.6.4 and Hercules Game Theater XP (using snd-cs46xx driver).
Still happening with 2.4.22-4. Is there any bug about this reported already? If not I will report it. Kernel is the right package to report against, right?
