------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-09 17:07 -------
thanks for your comment..

-I prefer to keep star.png in the tarball, just in case :))
-I planned to add halt and reboot action but it will require theme tweaking so
everything fits on 640x480 screen (ie text below icons) and I'm not sure I'll
have time for that before 9.2 is out.
-I forgot about the screenshot.. thanks

Patch merged into gdm-2.4.4.0-2mdk

Note: this is actually for 2.4.2.102-4mdk

I know I should open separate bugs for these, but they all fall under the title
"housekeeping". ;)

For the Mandrake GDM theme (/usr/share/gdm/themes/mdk):

- "screenshot.png" needs to be updated to reflect the new design (for gdm theme
selector)

- "screenshot.png" also needs to be reduced to 200x150 pixels (the current one
is unecessarily large -- it's never shown at full size in the theme selector)

- the file "star.png" is no longer used and should be deleted

- the files "halt.png" and "reboot.png" are beautifully redesigned, but not
used. Up to you to keep or delete, but it would be nice to keep them in case the
xml file is modified to use them.

Also, I have attached a patch for "mdk.xml" in 102-4mdk that corrects two errors:

1) the background is an absolute path when it should be relative to the xml file
for best portability

2) the "timed login" message overlaps the login box. I have shifted its position
to be below the login, just above the "caps lock" warning. The positioning uses
percentages, so it should be fine under any resolution. You may want to verify
it, but it worked well for me under 800x600 and 1024x768.

..also, it patches some purely cosmetic changes. :)
