Hi Adam - thanks for the reply. Didn't know about draksound - cool! I personally have no problem with doing kernel installs and the like, but I understand that things like permissions on /dev/rtc etc. are not automatically set up for the audio user, yes? Or are the various permissions issues been dealt to (in normal and devfs mode)? I'm thinking of my audio nut buddies here... :o) Ciao, Paul.
