Well,

I decided I had been running cooker for too long and might had some very
bad things around.
Specially after I tried to upgrade to the latest kernel and it was
another big mess..

So after a night on the "job" I reformated partitions, and installed RC1
from scratch...

and it does work fine now.

Will get back into some cooker update very soon.. :-)
