I post this for freeciv-civworld since there is no other freeciv product in the
bugzilla list.
What about compiling freeciv with SDL client rather than gtk2 (or offer it as an
alternate freeciv-client-sdl package), since it is graphically so better.
Interface is nicer and cursor is animated. Animated icons will be added in the
future.
To compile it :
1. ./configure --enable-client=sdl
2. Make a symlink stdfont.ttf -> /usr/share/fonts/ttf/vera/Vera.ttf in the
share/freeciv directory
3. In the same share/freeciv directory, decompress the deluxe package available
in ftp.freeciv.org/pub/freeciv/incoming/DELUXE5 (as today) and change owner to
root and permissions to make it readable to everyone.
