do you have the latest bootloader-utils installed?
do you have the kernel-tmb-source installed?

is the symlink /lib/modules/2.4.22-3.tmb.2mdk/build created,
and does it point to /usr/src/linux-2.4.22-3.tmb.2mdk ?
