K3B don't copy with a CD reader without the ide-scsi support.
this functionality should be added to the lilo.conf file.
for example with my lilo.conf :
append="quiet devfs=mount hda=ide-scsi hdd=ide-scsi"
and I added a link from /dev/scd1 to /dev/dvd for DVD reading.
