           Product: kdebase-konsole
         Component: packaging
Summary: Upgrading from 9.1 to 9.2RC1: programs missed
           Product: kdebase-konsole
           Version: 3.1.3-36mdk
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: packaging
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

In 9.2RC1, some packages have been split up: for example konsole has been moved from
kdebase
to kdebase-konsole and others.
When upgrading from 9.1 to 9.2Rc1, kdebase is upgraded, but konsole is not installed,
even though
it had been (as part of kdebase) under 9.1. It had to be installed from rpmdrake
after upgrade -
which worked fine.

If a package is split between versions, then in an upgrade, all of the packages which
comprised the
original packages should be installed but the upgrade, under the principle that (to
whatever level is
reasonable) things that worked before an upgrade will work after the upgrade.
