I like the new Mandrake style; a problem, however, is that the text doesn't
contrast very well with the background. I have a 15" 1024x768 LCD, so pixels are
plenty large. But the "chatter" of the background drowns out the text.
Would it be possible to dull the background behind the text, instead of
brightening it (cf. the bootsplash). Alternatively, a larger outline (instead of
jsut a shadow) around the characters? Either option would make it much easier to
read the text.
