Product: kdeutils
Component: program
Summary: Local characters are too wide (looks like added space)
Product: kdeutils
Version: 3.1.3-14mdk
Platform: PC
OS/Version: All
Status: RESOLVED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: program
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I just tried to write something in KWrite and I noticed that local characters
are too wide. They look like two characters glued together: the real character
and space. But the character behaves like one. I also tried in Kate and the
problem is also here. I also tried with GEdit and characters appear fine there.
In all apps I used Bitstream Vera Sans Mono of size 10 font and I was in KDE. If
I changed the fon't to some other monospaced font characters were also OK. So
maybe something is wrong with BVSM font (I don't think so as in some other apps
it works just fine) or only KDE (or just some component of it) is not using it
right.
