I am using Mandrake 9.2 RC1. When I close the lid of of my T30 laptop, the
system does *NOT* go into suspend mode. I do NOT see the suspend light coming
on. However, when I open the lid, the screen is all garbled (vertical
multicolored strips) and no keys work. X is frozen. Cntrl+Alt+Bksp or
Cntrl+Alt+F7/F8 doesn't work.
I can only power off the system uncleanly.
By the way, I am using the X version with hardware accln and my chipset is a Radeon.
