what i wanted you tell me is the result of the different steps listed in the
troubleshooting window, that is the classic bug sound tester (also explained at
http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/twiki/bin/view/Main/HardwareHowTo#Sound_Cards):

"lspcidrake -v | fgrep AUDIO" will tell you which driver your card use
by default (and if your card is detected)

"grep sound-slot /etc/modules.conf" will tell you what driver it
currently uses

"/sbin/lsmod" will enable you to check if its module (driver) is
loaded or not

"/sbin/chkconfig --list sound" and "/sbin/chkconfig --list alsa" will
tell you if sound and alsa services're configured to be run on
initlevel 3

"aumix -q" will tell you if the sound volume is muted or not

"/sbin/fuser -v /dev/dsp" will tell which program uses the sound card.

I have used as mixer envy24control : envy24control-0.9.3-1mdk.i586.rpm
Not found in cooker or Mdk9.2
Analog input signals are processed and are send to the outputs.

With Mandrake 9.1 it was possible to play a sound with xmms, kaboodle or
noatun. With 9.2 it is a great silence.

It is impossible to record the signal. This is the feature that make me buy
this high quality card.
