I'm rushing to get the hell out of my office, so all I can say now is that I used Draksound to select ALSA after starting my machine (not the one I'm on now unfortunately, or I'd give you more information), but after I rebooted I am stuck with OSS again. I would presume that Draksound would take care of the module settings, yes? I don't recall any warnings against ALSA - the machine in question has a boring ens1371 in it, which is well supported by ALSA, yes? I'll get back to you on Tuesday with more information. Cheers! Paul.
