Hi,
I think that XMMS is one of the finest applications of free software.
In order to have the best XMMS possible, 3 months ago, I browsed the xmms
website in order to provide more than the basic Visualization plugins. It
ended up for the 7.1 with a new package called "xmms-more-vis-plugins"
which holds 4 more Visualization plugins (currently, there is one more in
the Cooker version of the package, now there are 5 of them). Then I wanted
to also provide better eye candy, e.g. skins. A friend of mine pointed out
than a plugin was disponible in order to use the very cute skins made more
the windows mp3 player "k-jofol". It ended up with a package called
"xmms-kjofol-skins".
Now, at the time where Pablo and I are discussing the (minor) problems of
the new 1.2.0 version uploaded yesterday, I would like to share my
interest for this software with you; and particularly, hear if you have
ideas about what to do to enlighten even more this package. Personally, I
often go to xmms.org and monitor, try and test the available plugins to
see if they are worth being included in the distribution.
At present time, I'm thinking of including the 3DSE patch pointed out by
